Coordinates are transitory exhibitions that bring attendees to vacant and underutilized spaces to experience creative inquiry outside the traditional institutions of the art world. Coordinates: ICE PAC was presented in the former PACSAT satellite news broadcast headquarters. The project featured site-responsive installations from thirty-five architects and visual artists working in the Sacramento region. The invited artists were given one month to reclaim and transform the .73-acre lot into an immersive art experience before the building was demolished for new development.

My installation, #sacramentoartists was an homage to Sacramento artists destined to live here for unassailable reasons. Despite the region's lack of critical dialogue, robust collectors, and a thriving gallery scene, Sacramento and environs is home to serious artists committed to their work. The objects suspended from the thread and nail hashtag are material proxies of the Coordinates: ICE PAC artists – the scraps and outtakes that I collected from their individual sites.
